Success Stories
We're proud of every dollar we save our customers, but some events really shine a spotlight on why we are the team that should run your next reverse auction.
Top 5 U.S. City
Heavy Equipment Purchase – Fairtronix sourced and managed this reverse auction procurement for a major city. The City had previously run this procurement via traditional paper bid and was unable to award it as it came in over budget. Fairtronix was engaged by this major U.S. city to source and manage the bid as a reverse auction. Fairtronix sourced additional suppliers, surveyed them as to how the specs could be modified to ensure a more competitive bid, recommended bid spec changes to the City to create a more competitive environment and managed the reverse auction event. Fairtronix attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting in order to answer reverse auction and platform questions from the bidders and attended the auction event at City Hall. The end result was a reverse auction event that resulted in over forty total bids, ten lead changes, a spread of only 0.5% between first and second place and a low bid that was over $1.4 million less than the previous paper bid.
